I got to try lots of foods that are traditional specifically to this region. The children's uncle explained to me that Italians "hate globalization", that they value eating locally grown foods.
After an extravagant, candle-lit, 5-course meal, the kids and I headed outside to climb trees and run around :) These last few days have been so special to me, being able to spend time with all of the extended family here. I am feeling more and more at home as time goes on. :)
I believe in God's grace through Jesus. I love to learn, in a variety of contexts - reading God's Word, interacting with people from diverse backgrounds around the world, and as a student of Linguistics and Foreign Languages at Western Washington University. Pages of My Passport is dedicated to sharing this journey of learning through written and visual content.
