After visiting Myanmar for a second time, I returned to Indonesia to continue teaching English. Before starting work again, I first made a few stops to visit some of my students in their hometowns and meet their families. I was excited to see Nisa and meet her family on the island of Sulawesi, but I had no idea just how beautiful it is here! We spent almost all of our time in or near the water, which I loved!
Nisa knows that I love turtles, and as a late birthday gift, she took me to a special part of the island where we could find turtles. I got to swim with them! Literally a dream-come-true.
We found many wonderful swimming spots, and the photos below are from one of my favorite spots, just off the cliffside.
After a wonderful visit with Nisa and her family and friends in Bulukumba, I flew to Java to meet Bahar, Hasan, and Hasan's family in their village on the outskirts of the city.
