This is a blacksand beach where I came to surf one last time before leaving New Zealand. There were a few other surfers out in the water, but for the most part the beach was empty, which was great! I rented a longboard and spent the afternoon catching waves in the sun. My start was rough, but eventually I got into a good rhythm. Oh, how I love the ocean!
Manu Bay is famous for having the longest, most accessible, and consistent left-hand break in the world. This bay is only for experienced surfers, but Danielle and I came out just to watch the locals, and I was so impressed!
Bridal Veil Falls
Danielle and I hiked to this 180 feet high plunge waterfall on our way to the beach in Raglan.
