This is a waterfall on the Waikato River that drains Lake Taupo.
This is the longest river in New Zealand, running 264 miles through the North Island.
I love the water, and will take any chance I can get to swim. The lake was kind of crowded, but I found a good spot to enjoy the clear water and swim for awhile.
Danielle and I had a fun evening playing boardgames and pool with some local Kiwis in Taupo. They also had me try the traditional New Zealand snacks - L&P soda, Pineapple Lumps candy, and a Steak N' Cheese pie. My verdict? The soda and candy were alright, nothing special. However, I've been obsessed with pies ever since having them in Australia, so I knew I would love it!
